Malloreddus with cheese, pepper and organic lemon
Tempo: 20 minutes
Difficoltà: Low difficulty
Pasta with cheese, pepper and lemon: the perfect recipe for those days when you want to prepare a tasty dish but don't have much time to cook.
It only takes a few ingredients to make an excellent dish. A good quality Sardinian malloreddus, a good, medium-aged pecorino cheese, Janas melted cheese (you can choose between a strong and a mild version) and freshly ground pepper.
We would like to offer you our version of the dish with a special touch, the lemon zest, which will complete the recipe by creating a fresh contrast to the strong flavour of the cheese.
Our advice: always choose organic lemons to use the zest!
Here is the recipe for malloreddus with cheese, pepper and lemon:
4 people
1 g peppercorns
1 organic lemon
500 g of Janas Malloreddus
300 g of Janas melted cheese - delicate flavour
150 g of Janas Marchese - semi-seasoned Pecorino cheese
Procedimento:
Cook the malloreddus in plenty of salted water. Keep a small amount of the pasta cooking water and pour it over the melted cheese. It will warm it up and make it creamier, perfect for dressing a first course.
Coarsely grate the medium-aged pecorino cheese.
Wash the lemon and grate the zest, taking care not to grate the white part, which would give a bitter taste to the dish.
Drain the pasta al dente and add it to the melted cheese. Season the pasta with this cream, then place it on the plate and sprinkle with grated pecorino cheese and lemon zest. Grind black pepper on top according to your taste.
